Reflection on my blog

I'm glad that I chose my topic on Homeland Security because I learned a lot of what was going on this world. It was really hard reading about people having problem's from 2001 to today. People were surprised about the big accident that happened on Sept 11, 2001. I learned that people weren't too sure if they were safe or not because of the accident that was going on. But it's nice to know new things about what's going on in this world and to find out how we can be safer.
The three most important things that I learned about my topic is that Homeland Security means a lot of things that happen in this world. It's mostly about accidents, wars, drugs, using guns, and some things that are really seriously violent, but some parts aren't to serious. The second thing that I learned is about what people think; opinions about Homeland Security, if it is good or bad. The las thing I learned is about problems that people have. Sometimes they fight with violence and people do bad things that they don't need to do.
The advice that I would give to the people is to tell the government that people need their rights not taken away. Some Homeland Security laws take away rights. In airplanes people should follow the directions about what you really need or not to be safe in the air plane. Anything could happen. I think that every person should help each other so the whole world will be safe. We the people really need peace to be safe.
If someone was going to read one of my blogs, which one would I tell him or her to read? I would tell the Questionaire blog. It's really nice to know about what people think and give opinions about my topic. I saw that people really have different opinions of Homeland Security. It shows that some people do care about what's going on in this world.
What I really wish I would have done differently is organize and focus on my writing so that people would understand what I'm saying about my topic. I also should do more complex writing for each blog.
What I feel I did well on my blogs was that I mostly turned in my work on time. I got information that I needed for the assignments. I wrote my paragraphs the best I could. I felt that I tried my best on my blog so people would see how much work I have done on my blog.
I feel that it's much better doing a blog than turning in a typed eassy because in a blog you can take your time on the computer to do the assignments. You don't need to be in a hurry. But in a type eassy you usually have to turn it in the date that the teacher says to turn it in. In a blog you can know what your missing and know which blog you need to do. It's fun having a blog to see how much work you have done.
The easiest part of my project was the poem because I wrote what I felt about Homeland Security. The poem was about the twin towers. The paragraph wasn't too long, but it was easy and it didn't take me too long to do it. I wrote what I thought, not taking other people's ideas.
The hardest part of my project was the two different opinions of the Patrict Act. At first I couldn't find the best one to do, but then I found one that was easy to understand. After I read it three times, I understould it. I wrote it in my own words .
What I learned about other people's blogs was that they had useful information on their main topic. I learned what was going on with different topics, such as anorexia and teenage pregnancy.
In conclusion, this was useful because I learned from my project. I learned about Homeland Sercurty and other people's blogs.

Homeland Security Law

The Philadelphia Inquirer wrote a editorial on the new Homeland Security Law. The paper is for the new Homeland Security Law for these four reasons, there will be more money for cities and states who might be attacked by terrorists. There will be more money for better emergency communications, such as radios. In the next few years, the law will require screeming of all cargo. The new law includes 80% of the Homeland security Law three years ago. On his opinion is to get better things on this world. Get a lot help in the USAso that the people would be safe. I agree that the law are good getting better because were going to have a lot help and tp be protected on this land so nobody would be hurt.

This editarial makes me think that some people care about Homeland Security, and other people do not care or think about Homeland Security. Some people are protecting themselves if there is another attack. But the people that do not care they don't really do anything tobe safe. I think that half of the world that cares for Homeland Security are showing that they care for others and that you're not alone in this world. In this world there is a lot of help but some people not notice that there's help.

House calls on top spy to testify

-T he Denver post by Friday Dec. 14. 07

The House intelligence (spy) committee asked Jose Rodriguez to come in and testify about destroying video tapes of the questioning of two terrorism suspects. The tapes were made in 2002. The CIA destroyed the tapes in 2005. The tapes were made to record how CIA officers were using new rougher techniques to force prisoners to talk. These techniques were aproved by President Bush, but some people think that they are torture and this is wrong. Representative Rush Holt wants to make a bill that would have the CIA video tape all of it's interrogations and keep the tapes.

I think they should have a witness to watch the questioning so they would know how the CIA is doing these interrogations. They should not torture people.

Homeland security statistics

17,000 Number of employee within the new department of Homeland security, that means to me a lot of people got jobs.

22 Number of government agencies that will Merge under the department, that means to me government agent would work together.

$2.13 billion Homeland security's IT Budget, that means to me that there is a lot of money going to Homeland security.

Bush has requested roughly $2.13 billion for IT spending in 2003 alone within the Department of Homeland security- a figure INPUT forecasts will be even higher. That means to me that, lots of money is going to computer companies to watch what are people are doing.

Peom

It feels bad about what happened on Sept. 11 2001 people were sad when the towers went down. In their heart of the people they still has the memory of their friends and family.

Why did that happened, why did people have to die? People that had friends and family in the towers would wish they could still be here in the world.

In my opinion, I think that Al- Oueda doesn't have feelings and heart because they don't care how many people they killed. I think that it should be Al- Oueda who are killed, not the innocent people.

Homeland Security is a good thing to protect people and to be safe. Humans should be aloud to be peace and alive. People don't like terrorism. People just like to be happy and free.

Two different opinions of the Patriot Act.

For the Patriot Act
-The Patriot Act lets the government search people's phone records listen to their conversations and do searches. These methods will help stop terrorist acts.

Against the Patriot Act
-People who are against the Patriot Act believe that there would be amendments that would take away the people's rights.

What people think?

How could we stop the war, so that people would be safe?

-I truly believe in diplomacy and economic sanctions . If we were to allow the U.N to mediate more, this would help ease, and eventually stop the war.

-It all above communication. If men would learn to talk it would be easier.

-Education is the first step. The sad thing is that we can't "stop the war." There are too many people on both sides who are ignorant or pig- headded enough to keep it going.

-I think that the U.S needs to work harder to involve to the countries that border Iraq. Also they should set a deadline for bringing troops home.

-If people would communicate better their would be less fighting.

- On my oppion, I think that war should stop because if it doesn't stop the world would be ended. I think the war is distractive continues through the world.

What do you think people should do with drugs and alcohol that have been confiscated?

- I think they should be immediately destroyed.

- Destroyed/ resold depending on legality safety.

-They should lock it all away and burn it.

- On my oppion , I think that the polices should burn it and destroyed.

Why do you think people use guns, drugs and alcohol in their lives.

- I think guns gives people sense of power, That for some people guns are way to scary people and sometimes of violent way to solve the problem. I think people use drugs and alcohol to feel good, many people use drugs to escape their problems.

-It means of violence and coercion are often put to use by people who suffer from a sense of fear; fear inadequacy, couliness. elk .

- On my oppion I think people use drugs and alcohol because they feel alone, sadness and maybe those nothing what to do and they do those things to waste time. I think they use guns because they maybe feel angry. Some people thinks that having guns are fun are to make friends think there cool.

- People use guns because they feel safe. Most people use drugs to escape from it all. People use alcohol because they have family problems are wanna have fun.
